Ashes Thoughts

Well, after the debacle that was the ashes, I have decided that a new broom is needed to show the way forward for all future test series.
Here we go
No 1 - Andrew Strauss - should be the skipper
No 2 - Alistair Cook - opener for the next ten years
No 3 - KP - simply the best english batsman on his day
No 4 - Paul Collingwood - I know he's a ginger mackem, but he's doing a good job
No 5 - Ed Joyce - Attacking Oirish talent. next big thing
No 6 - Fred Flintoff - let him go back to what he's good at, batting and bowling
No 7 - James Foster - should have been given more of a chance
No 8 - Stuart Broad - why isn't he in the land of convicts now?
No 9 - Simon Jones - I know he's not fit at the minute, but he was a big reason why we won the ashes back in the first place.
No 10 - Matthew Hoggard - big heart, good pace, good action, good all round egg
No 11 - Monty Panesar - Bye bye Gilesy, you won't be missed.

other people to look for in '07 :-
Adil Rashid (yorkshire) - leggie, top order bat. nuff said
Steve Harminson (durham) - if he gets his head right, then he should be there or thereabouts
Ben Harmison (durham) - batsman
